Page Background

2016 is the twelfth year that the Association for International Broadcasting has

staged this truly global celebration of factual content. For each of the past 11 years,

an ever-increasing number of broadcasters, production companies and online

platforms have submitted outstanding content to the

AIBs.

Now I should like to

invite you to showcase your work in the AIB’s international media festival in 2016.

Each year while shortlisting and judging entries from all over the world, we have

been privileged to view and listen to factual content that has been inspiring,

informative, remarkable and fascinating. The range, strength and depth of the work

that has been entered for these awards have astounded our panel of judges. We have

been privileged to see productions that have challenged us and have moved us to

tears and to action. The work submitted to the

AIBs

reflects the whole of human

life – the good and the bad, and shades in between.

Importantly, as an international competition the

AIBs

are open to work produced

in all languages, for all markets. Over the past 11 years, we have seen exceptional

work from all corners of the world in many different languages, so whatever

language you work in, these awards are for you.

Our panel of judges this year is again as international and diverse as the content

that is entered. Producers, editors, journalists, critics and executives from many

countries will share their expertise as they evaluate each of our 17 categories.

The winners of the

AIBs

2016 will gather in London on 2 November for our gala

awards night that everyone who attends tells us offers remarkable international

networking and the chance to see the extraordinary work that the

AIBs

attract.

Please join us in our search for the world’s best factual productions – for television,

radio and online.
