Charter Broadcast purchased thirty Wohler AMP1-S8MDA multi-channel, HD/SD-SDI multi-format monitors to help ensure the 140 hours of Australian Open coverage broadcast to the world. They will also be monitoring audio at the Winter Olympics in Torino, The Commonwealth Games and The FIFA World Cup.

Designed to monitor multiple channels and formats, the AMP1-S8MDA, monitors 8 Channels, AES/EBU, analog audio, HD-SDI and SD-SDI with demuxing and summing capabilities. Two HD-SDI or SD-SDI inputs with reclocked output, 4 AES/EBU Digital outputs demuxed from 2 HD/SD-SDI groups, 8 analog output demuxed from any 2 SDI groups or converted from AES/EBU digital inputs, and analog output of selected pair or multi-channel downmix, are all combined in a compact one rack unit space.

Monitoring multi-channel Dolby® Digital and Dolby® E is made easy with the Wohler Technologies Dolby® Audio monitoring product line. NEP Visions uses the E MON-1/M to monitor Dolby E and Dolby Digital and HD/SD-SDI from the HD Trucks at the Sky Sports Premiership Football games. Telegenic installed the Dolby decoding E MON-1/M for the Sky Rugby Union and Rugby League games and Arena Television has also purchased Wohler audio monitoring equipment for their mobile HD work on upcoming events.
