Arab Satellite Communications Organization (Arabsat) announced that it will participate in the Exhibition of the International Broadcasting Conference IBC-2017 in Amsterdam from 15th to 19th September. IBC is considered to be the largest international gathering attended by experts and professionals engaged in the field of Satellite TV broadcasting.

Arabsat announced the launch of its Free-To-Air DVB-S2 platform which carries exclusively many premium and widely viewed HD international channels, broadcast as Free-to-Air across the Middle East, North Africa & Europe via Arabsat BADR-4  which can be received with minimum dish size. Viewers across the Middle East, North Africa & Europe will continue to receive an extensive offering of prime Free-To-Air international and regional HD channels on Arabsat hotspot at 26⁰ East.

Arabsat launches Euronews new frequency on its wide coverage satellite BADR-4

Arabsat announced the launch of Euronews new frequency on its wide coverage satellite BADR-4, to join other tier-1 regional & international news channels run on Arabsat BADR-4 News frequency 11996 MHz. Euronews’ original frequency will remain active till the end of May 2017, while Arabsat viewers are informed about the change via Arabsat’s linear and non-linear media distribution network.

Algeria hosts Arabsat workshop with ATS

Arabsat workshop in cooperation with Algeria Telecom Satellite 15 + 16 May 2017

Arab Satellite Communications Organization – Arabsat – in coordination with Algeria Telecom Satellite (ATS) are holding a workshop in Algiers on 15 + 16 May 2017 where Arabsat will showcase its satellites’ latest capabilities and demonstrate how Arabsat can provide up to date technical solutions for satellite telecommunications & Internet services covering the entire Algerian territory. The workshop will be attended by figures and entities working in the satellite telecommunications sector in Algeria from both the public and the private sector.

Arabsat will showcase, in addition to its new satellite Badr – 7 , the capabilities of its new 6th generation satellites that include at present 4 satellites. Three of those are under manufacture and the 4th is still in the process of research and design. The first satellite is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2017, while the other two satellites will be launched in 2018 on Arabsat various orbital positions.

The Arabsat workshop includes various forums & seminars attended by international experts in the field of satellite telecommunications & Internet. The latest technology in the field of mobile Telecommunications will also be discussed in addition to Ka-band huge capacities coverage that meets the future demand of the market.

Arabsat sponsors Satellite Interference Reduction Group (IRG) Workshop at CABSAT

Arab Satellite Communications Organization – Arabsat –  participates in the Broadcast, Satellite & Digital Media Event for the Middle East and North Africa, “Satellite MENA 2017”, from March 21st to 23rd at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

As an active member of the Satellite Interference Reduction Group, Arabsat sponsors IRG workshop with the presence of many broadcasters in both public and the private sectors on Monday 20th March 2017 at the Address Hotel in Dubai.

Eng. Khalid bin Ahmed Balkheyour, President & CEO of Arabsat, said that Arabsat will showcase its latest agreements to promote its exclusive orbital position 26⁰ East, such as the agreement with MBC Group – MBC has already begun to shift all its important channels to be broadcast exclusively on Arabsat satellites – in addition to many other similar agreements.

Balkheyour also added that Arabsat will showcase the capabilities of its new successfully launched satellite Badr-7 and the 6th generation satellites. This includes at present 4 satellites, three of which are being manufactured: one is scheduled to be launched by the end of 2017 and the other two will be launched in 2018. The 4th satellite 6-D  agreement was recently signed in a partnership with Taqnia Space.
