Kiss FM 92.9, Greece’s first Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) radio station, has chosen Harris Corporation Broadcast Communications Division to help transmit information to the visitors of the 2004 Olympics in Athens. Harris is providing a complete audio head-end for DAB transmission for up to 20 audio channels comprising 20 D-ACE DAB encoders, a D-EMUX ensemble multiplexer and the PC software for controlling the entire system.
“For such a prestigious event, we were very thorough in our assessment of equipment. We chose Harris as we have used its solutions before and found them to be very reliable and effective,” said Mr. Panagiotis Kostakis, chairman and CEO at Kiss FM 92.9. “For this installation we have been impressed with the speed of delivery. We received the equipment within two weeks and our staff was given the necessary training the week after.”
Harris Corporation is a member of the AIB.
