It is remarkable to think that 2015 is the 11th year of the annual AIBs. Over the
past decade, we have been privileged to watch and listen - and to share - some of
the most remarkable, inspiring and informative factual content.
The programming entered in the AIBs has come from more than 50 countries,
on every continent. It has reflected life in different regions. It has uncovered the
truth about stories that some would rather have kept secret. It has had the
power to change lives. Some entries have been challenging, others amusing. All
have been fascinating.
The 2015 AIBs are now open for entry and this booklet tells you everything you
need to know about this celebration of the world’s best factual programming.
I want to stress that this competition is not only for content produced in
English. It is open to work produced in any language.
It is also open to work that reaches beyond traditional broadcasting, onto online
and mobile platforms.
Our jury for this year’s AIBs is as international and diverse as the programmes
they will judge. We have producers, editors, journalists, critics and executives
from all over the world using their experience to choose the winners in each
category.
The results of the AIBs 2015 will be announced at our gala awards night in
London on 4th November. It’s an evening that offers international networking
and that holds the audience spellbound as we show the shortlisted work.
