Peter Smith, Vice President of Advanced Technology for the National Broadcasting Company (NBC), has been elected President of the North American Broadcasters Association (NABA) for a two-year term.

Mr Smith was chosen by members of the association at NABA’s annual meeting in Los Angeles last week. Elected for two-year terms as Vice Presidents were Andy Setos, President of Engineering at the Fox Entertainment Group, and Leonardo Mateos Ramos, Director of High Technology Projects for Grupo Televisa.

NABA Secretary General Michael McEwen says the new executive of the association’s board of directors “provides NABA with a strong team of leaders who will provide us direction and leadership in pursuit of our members’ interests”.
