Michael Peters, CEO, has appointed Stephanie Schroeder as Director of External Relations and member of the Executive Committee.
Stephanie Schroeder is in charge of managing press, public and institutional relations, as well as relations with global partners of the Euronews Group.
Prior to this appointment, Stephanie Schroeder, of German origin, was Director of External Communication since 2010 for the Pernod Ricard Group. She replaces Grégoire de Rubiana, who has left the channel to pursue other projects. Stephanie is based at the Paris office of Euronews.

Stephanie Schroeder’s previous positions include Director of External Communication for Dassault Systèmes (2007-2010), Director of Group Communication for TNT Express (2004-2007), Head of press relations for Mercedes-Benz France (2000-2004) and Western Europe press relations manager for Intel Corporation (1997-2000).
Stephanie Schroeder began her career as a journalist. Based in Munich, Germany, she worked with the radio stations ‘Deutschlandfunk’ and ‘Radio Gong’; in print media for the magazines ‘Kino & Film’ and ‘Gong’; and in television for five years with ‘Tele 5’. She also worked freelance for the German news desk of Euronews. Stephanie has a Masters degree in Art History from Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and studied Drama at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in London. |

Euronews’ new programme “Business Middle East” focuses on the constantly changing environment that is driving global market evolution. Get a clearer view of the region’s key economic issues with insight and analysis from top market strategists in Abu Dhabi.
The new 4-minute weekly programme is produced and hosted by Daleen Hassan. Each Tuesday she examines a major economic issue in the region and assesses the world economy’s overall influence on it. The programme opens with a story analysing the main subject of the episode, then Daleen discusses the issues raised in an interviews with an expert who provides insight, background information and opinion.

To shed light on these issues Euronews’ Daleen Hassan spoke to ADS Securities’ Chief market strategist Nour Eldeen Al Hammoury in Abu Dhabi. He has more than eight years of experience in foreign exchange and global economic developments, as well as central bank policies and intermarket analysis (global markets relationships).

Daleen Hassan, a seasoned Syrian broadcast journalist, joined Euronews Arabic service in 2010.
Daleen worked as producer, reporter and news anchor for several Media and TV in Syria and Abu Dhabi.
She covered several events in various parts of the world such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Lebanon, France and Syria.
Before Euronews, she was PR coordinator for the World Arab Institute in Paris, France.
At Euronews she is part of the team that covers international news, both as a news duty editor and a presenter, interviewing experts and leading politicians such as Najib Mikati, former Lebanese prime minister, Ali Zidan former Libyan prime minister, the former Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari.
Daleen has a Masters degree from Lyon 2 Lumière University in Cinematography and Audiovisual Studies and a BA in journalism and media from the University of Damascus. She is fluent in English and French in the professional media and production environment.

TVPlayer has signed a major licensing agreement making Euronews now available to its viewers in the UK
Euronews, the most-watched news channel in Europe, has now launched on leading live TV streaming service, TVPlayer.
Covering world news and broadcasting 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, Euronews live currently reaches an impressive 415 million households in 156 countries.
The launch of Euronews on TVPlayer will bring around-the-clock coverage of the most up-to-date news, business and current affair stories, as well as lifestyle features, to a wider audience in the UK across multiple devices.
TVPlayer is an OTT platform launched in the UK by Simplestream, which streams live TV across multiple devices from some of the UK’s favourite free-to-air broadcasters. Launched in December 2013, TVPlayer has proven itself to be one of the fastest growing live TV platforms in the UK.
The latest addition of international news channel Euronews takes TVPlayer’s channel offering to now over 45 channels. TVPlayer can be watched via tvplayer.com, App Store, Google Play, the Amazon App Store and is soon to launch via channel 241 on Freeview in the UK.

Significant increase in Euronews‘ distribution in South-East Asia thanks to Telekom Malaysia‘s basic package.
The Euronews media group, Europe’s leading international news channel, is accelerating its development in Asia thanks to an agreement with Telekom Malaysia, the second biggest operator in Malaysia.
Euronews, available in its 24/7 English version, can now reach 530,000 households subscribing to the basic HyppTV package from Telekom Malaysia.
Arnaud Verlhac, Director Worldwide Distribution, said: “Euronews first launched in Malaysia in 2010. In 2014, cooperation with Telekom Malaysia has evolved, allowing 580,000 Malaysian households to follow international news in real time, in English.
