BlackRook Media joins AIB keen to forge new global partnerships – in broadcast, video production and media coaching consultancy. The company was formed seven years ago in London by former ITV and BBC news and current affairs executives. BlackRook is owned and run by journalist Alan Rook who, over 25 years in broadcasting, has headed up production teams at ITV network news, ITV Daytime, BFBS, GMTV and ITV Regions.

The company has worked on TV channel launches, made TV shows and coached broadcast producers for international clients in Nigeria, South Africa, Kurdistan and Iran. Its consultants have trained executives and produced content for organisations including the United Nations, BMW and Jaguar. The company’s training lead currently oversees all of the BBC’s apprentices in their examination course work in broadcast regulation and broadcast writing.

BlackRook builds launch teams and is well used to making content across news, current affairs, factual entertainment , sports and showbiz genres. BlackRook has deep experience too of producing editorially-driven advertorials for brands including Stoli Vodka and a number of international tech start-ups such as Urban Massage, City Socializer and AnyJunk. One of the group’s companies is registered in Nigeria and it has partner offices in Abuja, Johannesburg, and Amsterdam.
