Having extended its distribution
with Time Warner Cable in the
US earlier this year, the channel
now reaches some 8.5m
households across the country –
on DishWorld, Time Warner
Cable and Comcast, Cox and
FioS TV. A new distribution
agreement with satellite
operator DDish TV means
FRANCE 24 is also available 24/7
in over one in four TV households
in Mongolia.
In June, FRANCE 24 stepped
up its presence in Latin America
when France Médias Monde’s
CEo Marie-Christine Saragosse
signed several agreements that
will bring France 24 to Colombia
over the coming months and
consolidate Radio France
Internationale’s presence in the
country. France 24 and RFI will
be included in the offer proposed
by Claro, Colombia’s leading
cable operator, as well as in the
ETB line-up, the capital’s public-
service cable provider.
Claro Colombia will launch
France 24 in French, RFI in
Spanish and the RFI Music
stream on the operator’s TV
Digital Avanzada bouquet before
the end of the year. As a result
FRANCE 24 will reach over 3m
households receiving its 24/7
broadcast. RFI programmes are

At IBC, Intelsat will showcase
Intelsatone Prism, a next-
generation IP content
distribution managed service
that addresses the challenges
customers face in the
converging broadband and
media landscape. The service
enables Strategic Sales Partners
(SSPs) to implement digital
media networking capabilities
using legacy assets, streamlining
operations and reducing costs
while increasing service
offerings to their customers.
Some managed events
require an array of services,
including satellite uplink,
production, satellite capacity for
live video, telephone circuits for
voice coordination and internet
access – these traditionally
come from a variety of vendors
and local carriers that carry high
installation costs, unpredictable
performance standards, and
often long pre-coordination
times to order services.
With the fully automated
Intelsatone Prism platform, SSPs
can conduct multiple content
transmissions via a single
platform, including live video, file
transfer, VoIP, Internet access
and data exchange. Additionally,
Intelsatone Prism ensures
future-proof content delivery
with the flexibility to adapt to
evolving formats and standards.
The core of the Intelsatone
Prism solution is based on the
Newtec Dialog multiservice
platform, which was installed in
Intelsat’s Atlanta teleport in
January 2015. The hub is
